Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen: Authentic Thai Noodles and Vegan Delights in Lynnwood

We came for an early dinner during happy hour and tried the lemongrass fried chicken, green papaya salad, and spicy squid soup to start. The squid soup was a standout — super flavorful and reminded me of Asian street food, with perfectly cooked squid. The chicken had great flavor; the skin was a bit dry, but the meat was juicy. For the main, we had the garlic and ginger chicken rice. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was tasty. I also really liked the side soup with radish — a nice touch. Service was okay, nothing special, but overall a great meal with bold flavors.

The service was excellent. Very friendly staff made sure we were taken care of. That said, a restaurant's food should be the highlight. The food was interesting with great presentation and combinations of textures. The taste didn't live up to the presentation. I expected the flavors to be bolder, with high level of separation between coconut, curry, lime, and other flavors. Instead the flavors were blended together in one note. It was very good but not great. Oddly, if the presentation hadn't skewed my anticipation I might have scored it higher.

Had an excellent dining experience at this place. I was happy to see a vegan section and ordered a vegan pad thai and pad see ew. Both were delicious. The spice level is on the lower side, please bear in mind I'm an Indian. We ordered 2/3 and that was too mild. Portion sizes are generous. One of the service staff was very nice and another one was a little unpleasant. She didn't want to be called and made a face when I called to get an extra slice of lemon.

Came here for a dinner at this charming Thai restaurant. The food is decent and delicious. Our server was helpful and the food came out pretty quick. Would definitely recommend for friends and family to come for a lunch/dinner.

Enjoyed the overall experience, we ordered all vegetarian with egg, I specially liked fried rice. Garlic mushrooms are too spicy for my liking. Ambience is nice and clean. Would like to try again whenever craving for Thai food.

Cute place with eclectic decor. I went with a friend but would be a good date place too. The menu has a page devoted to vegan dishes. We split the mushroom fritters (it ate like calamari which I loved), eggplant salad (a hot dish), and phad see ew (noodles). Good portions, we took some home. I had a nice glass of pinot gris. The level 2 heat we usually get at our other thai haunts was too hot on the eggplant dish bc it's prepared with fresh chiles, just fyi. They kindly exchanged it for us. The servers were great! The chef came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Everything was delicious.

The food was wonderful! It was hard to chose because everything sounded so good, but we landed on the tropical curry and crying tiger steak. My only complaint is that I wish the steak was a bit more filling, but the flavor was phenomenal. I also had the Tuk Tuk Thai Tea cocktail and was very impressed. We will definitely be back!

The service here is very friendly and attentive. I think the service is actually better than the food, not saying the food wasn't good. I enjoyed the deep fried mushrooms, lemon grass chicken wings, and chicken. I unfortunately thought the pork belly stew was not good. Too much sugar was added to that stew. I feel like the chef made a mistake on that batch. All in all I liked this place. A solid 4 and I'd come back, just not for the stew. Thanks for the great service!
